The past work dates from 1965 to 1988 when I entered the realm of contemporary sculpture. The earliest work deals with sports figures in bronze. A number of pieces were commissioned by college and professional teams. My next series entitled "The Backbone of America" deals with the American men and women who built this country with their sweat and backbones. A number of industries, such as coal mining, lumber, and oil, commissioned work to represent their employees. Much of my past work involved creating pieces of sculpture of women in everday poses, using live models.
